How Can arm Pain Along With Fluttering In Chest Be Treated?

Hi. I am really worried! After I smoke a cigarette I get this pain feeling in my left arm in the bicep area. It is not bad but it happens every time I smoke and it goes away within about two minutes. I also every now and then get pain and a flickering feeling sometimes in my chest. This is at random times. Please help me! I m scared! I have also been crying heaps! :(

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As per my clinical experience, the current presentation suggests the fluttering chest is non-specific organic discomfort related to underlying stress and anxiety.

However, an X-ray of the chest is recommended here to assist further.

Quit smoking right now as you have started thinking about your well being at least at this point now.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
